The PAC091AR.14 is a high-quality achromatic doublet lens, designed and manufactured by MKS/Newport. This lens is specifically engineered for use in the visible light spectrum, with a effective focal length (EFL) of 500mm and a wavelength range of 430-700nm.
The lens features a 50.8 mm diameter and a total thickness of 10.1 mm, making it suitable for a wide range of optical applications. The lens is constructed from two types of glass, N-BK7 and N-SF5, both sourced from Schott, ensuring high optical quality and precision.
The PAC091AR.14 is coated with a New AR-14 coating on both the front and back surfaces, which helps to reduce reflection and increase transmission in the visible light spectrum. This coating is applied using a sophisticated figure from-figure process, which ensures uniformity and consistency across the entire surface of the lens.
The lens geometry is complex, featuring three radii of curvature (r1, r2, and r) and three distinct thicknesses (thickness edge, thickness center 1, and thickness center 2). This complex geometry allows for precise control over the optical properties of the lens, enabling it to deliver high-quality, distortion-free images.
